My favorite is Cook with Jamie, My Guide to Making You a Better Cook.
This is a really good cookbook. On this book, Jamie Oliver, the authors, describes not only the way to cook delicious three course meals, but he also shares tips and broad knowledge of each main ingredients. If you enjoy not-easy-cooking, you'll need this book =).
I love Fish Sauce and I think it wouldn't effect you negatively since it just made from fermented fish and other seafood. But I don't know, I am not sure. I've never heard any health case about this sauce though :)
In Southeast Asia Fish sauce is made from salted, fermented fish and it tastes good with rice dishes. But does someone know somthing about its nutritional effect?
